Soon after it\u2019s founding in 1922 Electrical Contacts became the focal world for DODUCO. In the previous two editions of the DODUCO Data Book this world was mostly limited to Europe. Through the global expansion, DODUCO employees have gradually worked on solving electrical contact problems all over the world in their daily work.<\/p>

Ever increasing requirements on the performance of contacts in electrical switching devices, the need for highly reliable interconnections between electro-mechanics and electronics, the minimizing of precious metal usage, and the call for more environmentally compatible materials and manufacturing processes, defined in the past years the development of materials and technologies related to electrical contacts. These latest developments and repeated requests from our customers are daily motivation and a well-received opportunity for technical advice.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The megatrends of increasing electrification and resources respectively energy efficiency are leading to greater complexity in our customers’ applications. As these applications grow more demanding, so does the need to grow for high-performance functional materials – and for extensive know-how with regard to these applications.<\/p>

Applied Technology offers broad and deep technical guidance to ensure customer expectations are met, and to maximize the potential of our premium functional materials within the final application. And that is only one of the ways in which Applied Technology’s collaborative approach makes the difference in joint projects with our customers.<\/p>

Decades of experience and total access to Doduco’s outstanding technical resources and capabilities enable Applied Technology to hit the ground running when it meshes gears with customer R&D departments. The fact that Applied Technology’s global activities are supported by several specialized laboratories (e.g. metallographic, electrical testing) also helps.<\/p>

This makes practical testing of our materials in customer applications more meaningful and more efficient, and it ensures quicker, more comprehensive answers to material science-related questions. Correlated with metallurgical investigations, the algorithms on material and application interaction developed by Applied Technology are key tools for qualifying, quantifying and understanding the interaction of materials and their applications in a systems approach – and they are setting standards and trends for the global industry. Because our protocols reach far beyond standardized tests, our customers can count on technical support that actively contributes to their own value chain, from the development phase to actual problem solving throughout the application life cycle.<\/p>

Application Technology’s capacity to test and validate applications within our inhouse electrical test lab translates into a decisive time and cost advantage.
